Our mid-century modern sofa is easily one of the most impressive parts of our van. The unique curved sofa, not only maximises space but also makes a massive statement.

We made this sofa with absolutely ZERO experience of upholstery – just a can-do attitude and a LOT of patience.

The use of a swivel table is integral to the design and flow of our van. We knew we wanted to be able to walk through our van freely without rigid structures to bump into and get caught on.

The Lagun table mount is the Rolls Royce of table legs. It has buttery smooth movement as completely adjustable to suit your vans needs.

We also spent a lot of time carefully calculating the perfect table size and shape to be as unobtrusive as possible, whilst also being big enough to have two laptops on it comfortably.

Optimising storage in a van is essential. Period. The living room in our van is not only the place to kick back and relax but also home to some of the are best storage solutions and all of our electrical setup.

By building an “L” shaped sofa you are instantly creating a lot of storage space. We have a set of drawers, all of our electrics, and even a secret storage cubby all housed under our sofa!

We also have overhead cabinets, and even make use of the original storage located above the cab.

One of our biggest storage hacks when building our living room was buying an IKEA chest of drawers that fits snuggly and seamlessly under our sofa!

One thing we love about our living room is how comfy and cosy it is, it truly makes our van feel a little less like a vehicle and a little more like a home.

When building our living room we were extremely focused on the small construction details that make the finish appear more lux. This includes the intricate construction of the windowsill, the endless caulking, sanding, and painting. All this was done to achieve the look of a traditional living room in a house, whilst maintaining a lightweight, functional design.
