Where to park overnight near Caminito Del Rey | Spain

The area surrounding the spectacular Caminito Del Rey hike is almost as breathtaking as the precarious boardwalk itself. This spot to park overnight near the Caminito Del Rey is one of the most jaw-dropping locations we have parked at to date. Perched on the edge of a hill, the view feels like it continues on and on forever.

This overnight spot to park in is essentially just a rugged piece of land with room for 2 vehicles at the edge of the main road to the Caminito Del Rey hike. There is no finesse, no water, no bins, nothing. This spot is only enjoyable for the views. Despite being a bit rough and rugged, it’s level enough not to need chocks to make it comfortable. It isn’t that large, and for that reason, we would not recommend using this spot if you are in a particularly long motorhome.

Although this spot is not far removed from the primary road to the Caminito Del Rey, it does not experience excess traffic and is extremely peaceful overnight.

We cannot recommend this spot highly enough, however, as it is pretty remote, we recommend only visiting it if you have a fully self-contained van.
