Llandudno is a quaint coastal tourist town in North Wales. It has a lot of charm and feels like you have been transported back in time to when “staycations” were the norm, and seaside towns were a roaring trade. Unfortunately, Wales, in general, is not very campervan friendly. Llandudno is no different, making finding the perfect parking spot a chore. This overnight park-up spot is slightly outside Llandudno, however, it is extremely peaceful and worth the short commute into the town.
This parking spot is located in a car park used mainly by dog walkers using the nearby forest trails. It has a stunning outlook over the impressive Conwy castle. Furthermore, the nearby forest trails are the perfect place to have a BBQ, there is even a clearing with log benches – just make sure to clean up after you are done.
To get to Llandudno you can drive and hope that you find a parking spot, or alternatively, take the train. Llandudno Junction train station is a mere 7-minute cycle (or 20-minute walk) from the car park and takes you straight into the heart of Llandudno.
This overnight park up spot is the perfect escape away from the hustle and bustle, and the hoards of tourists that flock into Llandudno every day – especially if it is sunny!
Note: the entrance to this car park is quite narrow and should be approached from the top of the hill, if you are approaching it in the other direction, continue past the entrance as there is a roundabout nearby where can loop back on yourself.
