Loredo is the perfect park-up if you are looking for somewhere relatively near Santander to kick back and relax. This destination is the perfect place to stop after getting off the ferry from the UK into either the Santander or Bilbao ports.
When we visited in mid-January 2022, the car park was almost completely empty, however, we think in the summer season you may not be as lucky to get one of these amazing parking spots.
Unfortunately, there were no local toilets, and therefore your vehicle must be self-contained to fully enjoy this spectacular park up.
The view from the car park stretches out over the Bay of Biscay. It is absolutely stunning and completely unexpected. The beach has a completely paved promenade perfect for walking, skating, scooting, or cycling along.
There are also several local amenities in Laredo, including shops and a petrol station. Finding somewhere to dine out won’t be difficult here as a lot of the streets are lined with restaurants and cafes. You will be spoilt for choice.
