Discover how to find the pool on the post linked below.
1. Hiking boots
We recommend packing hiking boots if you plan on visiting the secret infinity pool in Wales. Although it isn’t the most challenging climb to find, it can be extremely boggy and the terrain can be a bit rough.
However, if you are like us, and wouldn’t be caught dead in hiking boots, a sturdy pair of trainers will suffice – if the weather is nice and dry.
We recommend:
2. Backpack
A backpack is absolutely essential if you plan on finding the infinity pool on the Llanberis pass. You will want to pack a plethora of things to make this day trip as memorable as possible therefore finding the perfect backpack is key.
We recommend the North Face Borealis as it is extremely spacious without looking too big. This is our go-to backpack for all of our excursions… and is also the perfect size to take as hand luggage on flights!
Conversely, if you are looking for something a little more stylish and feminine, the Antler Chelsea Travel Day backpack is the perfect combination of utilitarian and pretty! We love this backpack, but it is arguably more suited to a day in the city!
3. Picnic
If you want to make the most of your time at the infinity pool, make sure you pack a picnic. There is plenty of space around the pool where you could set up a picnic, whether it is on the grass bank or on the rocks surrounding the pool.
4. Sun cream
Although Wales isn’t known for its glorious sunshine, it still can get hot, therefore, protecting yourself from the sun’s UV rays when visiting the secret infinity pool is a must.
We recommend the Green People Organic sun lotion as it is all-natural and non-toxic, therefore should not contaminate the infinity pool.
5. Camera Gear
You will want to capture the experience of finding the infinity pool on the Llanberis pass, therefore you will need to pack a camera. We primarily used our phones to get a few snaps, however, we would also recommend taking a waterproof action camera, such as a GoPro.
Below is the camera gear we use:
5. Swimwear
What is the point of going in search of the pool if you are not going to brave the cold and take a dip? Packing swimwear is absolutely essential if you intend on visiting the secret infinity pool on the Llanberis pass in Wales.
Although it’s very cold, we recommend packing regular swimwear as opposed to a wetsuit, especially if you intend on posting some cute pics on Instagram.
6. Towels
This one should goes without saying, if you are taking the plunge make sure to bring a towel! You definitely don’t want to be all soggy walking back down from the pool.
We recommend a microfibre towel as not only is it quick-drying, it also folds down to a much smaller size than a traditional cotton bath towel, ideal for hiking up a mountain with!
The brand Dock and Bay have a large range of microfiber towels of varying sizes. However, the best thing about them is all the fun colours you can choose from. Click here to see for yourself!
7. Additional Extras
- Instax Camera – what is better than a physical photograph to commerate and remember the experience, nothing! Therefore we never go anywhere without our Instax Camera.
- Cooler bag – if you intend on being at the pool for a long time, a cooler bag is the perfect option to keep your food fresh and drinks cold. This cooler bag is the perfect picnic bag that is easy and comfotable to carry!
- Water shoes – The floor of the pool is filled with rock which can be sharp. If you are particularly sensitive, we recommend wearing water shoes to avoid any discomfort.
