Segovia is a historic city located a mere 90km from the center of Madrid, Spain. Its ideal location makes it the perfect day (or two-day) trip if you are exploring central Spain.
Segovia may be small but is jam-packed full of historic significance including a stunning Roman aqueduct, a Gothic-style Cathedral, and even a castle that supposedly inspired Walt Disneys Cinderella Castle. Pretty impressive, right?
If you are planning to spend the night here, there is really only one spot worth staying in. The carpark next to the old bullring, a 20-minute walk from the city center. It even has grey, black, and freshwater facilities. Best of all, it is free! However, you may only stay a maximum of 72 hours.
Unfortunately, although the carpark is tarmacked, it isn’t the most level. The spaces are on a slight incline, however, it is fine even without the use of chocks.
One recommendation if you do choose to stay here in Segovia, Spain – do not try to cycle or scoot into the city center. The roads are all cobbled making for an extremely bumpy ride! Enjoy the walk!
