Where to park overnight in Donostia San Sebastian

San Sebastian is one place you must visit if you are traveling through the North of Spain. It has something for everyone – a stunning coastline that stretches for miles; a charming old town lined with bars, restaurants, and shops; and a busy city center packed with all the best high street shops!

This spot is ideal if you intend on staying overnight in San Sebastian. It is a designated car park specifically for motorhomes and is located on the outskirts of the city. Unfortunately, it is not free but is reasonably priced at €3.30 for 24hrs. You are only allowed to stay here for a maximum of 72hrs.

The spaces are extremely spacious and level. The car park is well lit and feels extremely safe – unlike a lot of other locations you will find on park 4 night in San Sebastian. This spot has several facilities, including a place to empty not only your greywater but also your black water. There is also a freshwater tap. This use of these facilities is free. Even if you do not park here, you can still access them. There are no toilet or shower facilities, however, if you do need the use of a shower, there are free cold showers on the beach, or a hot shower located in a building on the beachfront for €1.60.

We stayed overnight in San Sebastian in January 2022, and even in the off-season, the car park was relatively busy, with approx 20 campervans. This car park is large enough for at least 40 campers, but we imagine in summer it may be difficult to acquire one of these spots!

The location of this car park is a short cycle from the center of the action. However, it is extremely well connected to the city via the network of cycle paths. If you have a bike or an electric scooter this park-up is ideal for you as it is a mere 10-minute cycle to the city center. If you don’t cycle, there are 2 bus services that take you into the center – number 5 and 25

  1. Still building my new home in a Ford Transit L2H2 from 2005. My first trip will be this one, the only difference is that I recently retired so all the time in the world. Most of your sights you mentioned I look up at Google earth and discover the surroundings. Keep up the thingd you two do.
